The SISC Student Council officers honed their leadership skills through the Outdoor Workshop on
Leadership (OWL) held last July 17 at the Tropical Campus. They were joined by other students
leaders from Southville Global Education Network (SGEN) coming from South Mansfield College,
Stonyhurst-Southville International School – Batangas, and Stonyhurst-Southville International School
– Malarayat to learn about Leadership Dimensions, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens, and the
Duke of Edinburgh’s International Awards.
The OWL activities provided the participants opportunities to go beyond their comfort zones and realize
their personal strengths, to conquer their fears and develop self-confidence, and to manifest leadership
skills while observing the dynamics of teamwork. It is part of the school’s commitment to develop the
leadership qualities of its students, and make them a catalyst towards positive and productive ends.
