After almost two years of remote learning, Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) students and teachers were reunited in person since classes were suspended due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Joyous voices rang across the once empty halls of Southville as it resumed face-to-face classes as part of its Hybrid Virtual Online Learning and Teaching (HyVOLT) program. 

SISC has long prepared to welcome its students back on campus to continue providing quality international education. All the standard safety procedures are observed as students enter the school buildings like wearing protective masks, passing a thermal screening, and maintaining a physical distance. The classrooms have been reorganized and sanitized to make them as safe and welcoming as possible during these unique times.

Also welcoming the students back on their first week of school in Luxembourg Campus is a brand new park aptly named Monarch’s Park. The school’s newest green space is home to trees, shrubs, stone walkways, water features, and benches where students and employees can relax, grab a bite, study, or take a breather.

“We begin this new academic year with an even stronger sense of purpose and unity, forged by the experiences of the past years,” said SISC President Jocelyn Tizon. “Whatever the pandemic has thrown at us, it has also brought us together in new ways, strengthened our relationships, and united us in the mission to expand the horizons of our students. We have learned so much and we will carry those gains forward.”
