Understanding by Design (UBD)
A learning framework that starts with a clear picture of designed results based on a “big idea” to ensure lasting education.
Differentiated Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment (DCIA)
All students become lifelong learners. At the heart of DCIA is differentiation, a way of thinking about teaching and learning that recognizes Multiple Intelligence and Learning Styles.
Values Integration
A core value is emphasized each month to develop the discipline and sense of focus of the students. Some of the Life Skills Values are Affirmation of Self and Others, Interpersonal Sensitivity, and Empathy among others.

DISTINCTIVE FEATURES
Differentiated Learning
Multiple intelligences, learning styles or various learning modalities, interests, and readiness of students are considered in the delivery of instruction. Lesson plans & instruction are premised on brain-based learning principles. Competencies and skills are reflected on the learning outcomes in the various subjects.
International Curriculum
SISC uses an international-based curriculum. For preschool to high school, the curriculum is mainly based on the updated Common Core and British curricula. SISC also offers international K-12 curricular programs that integrates the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme offered with the same rigorous standards in 120 countries.
Learning Programs for the Gifted
SISC’s Vision and Tasks Circle is a weekly program for gifted students designed to support their comprehensive growth. The Advanced Learning Program is a focused program designed for academically gifted learners in a particular subject. Learners with gifts outside the logical intelligences are also attended to through the Learning Assistance Program.
Values Education
The Universal Values Program of SISC aims to strengthen the values of Integrity, Courage, Conviction, Interpersonal Relations, Productivity, Creativity, and Excellence in the students.
The values program is supported by the Guardianship Program wherein students are assigned a faculty member, staff, or school officer to guide them as they face challenges and concerns that come with the various developmental stages.
