AFSL is committed to honing young minds to become the leaders of what their generation needs. True to its mission and vision, the organization spearheads annual leadership conventions to celebrate youth and student leadership, advance advocacies that matter to the youth today, and workshops that will build their leadership character.
Serving its core purpose to serve as a venue for students to develop their leadership potentials, interpersonal and collaborative skills, social responsibility, and sense of awareness, the Asian Federation of Student Leaders (AFSL) extends its mission to not only cater to local young leaders but also the emerging leaders of Asia and the Pacific.
With this, the International Youth Leadership Congress 2023 aims to bridge the understanding and community actions of emerging young leaders of the Philippines and the region on the AFSL model of leadership (self management, task management, and people management). Transformational leadership, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
AFSL is also a platform for students to exhibit their leadership skills and capacity. The AFSL Student Council is the official student arm of the Asian Federation of Student Leaders. Student leaders around the member schools gather to elect officers who will help the organization in carrying out its missions and programs.
The Award is a global framework for non-formal education and learning, which challenges young people to dream big, celebrate their achievements, and make a difference in their world. Through developing transferable skills, increasing their fitness levels, cultivating a sense of adventure, and volunteering in their community, the Award helps young people to find their purpose, passion, and place in the world.
