Recognizing the importance of taking active role in building and promoting community culture, Southville Global Education Network (SGEN), under its Student Affairs Department, has made a commitment to support Las Pinas government’s livelihood project by pledging more than 500 lanterns used for the recently held SGEN Star Parade and Contest.
The event which was aimed at developing the students’ ingenuity in designing their own “parol” and at the same time, sustain the livelihood initiative of residences of Baranggay CAA, Las Pinas, kicked off with the parade participated in by the seven SGEN schools namely Southville International School and Colleges, Southville Foreign Univeristy, South Mansfield College, Stonyhurst Southville International School-Lipa, Stonyhurst Southville International School-Batangas, South Seed LPDH, and SEED Academy.
“Star has always been an iconic symbol for the light of the Christmas, and as a network of school, SGEN will remain steadfast in its commitment to be a strong source of light of our nation by providing education for life-long learning,” says Southville President, Dr. Marl V. Ferenal.
