Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) has made it again!
The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), USA granted SISC another six years of accreditation that has to be re-validated by June 30, 2018. The 5-day re-accreditation process was conducted by the WASC Committee in SISC last February 2012.
The WASC accreditation committee was comprised of Chairperson Constance Oliver, Vice Chairperson William Cristelman, and members Patrick Houterman, Gwen Ueoka, William Butcher, and Andy Valadka. They evaluated SISC based on the areas of school administration, academic excellence, teaching, learning and community orientation, and diversity. After a week of class observations, evaluation and discussion of school curricula, and interaction with students, parents, faculty, staff and SISC officers, the committee validated SISC’s quality as a world-class educational institution.
In his letter to SISC, Harlan Lyso, WASC Commission Chairperson wrote: “Members of the Commission note[d] the stellar aspects of the school and the suggestions for continued improvement. Please accept our congratulations on the quality of instruction being offered in your school.”
