In celebration of the National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week, Southville Education Students showcased knowledge of their sign language skills as they interpreted the Philippine National Anthem and prayer during the opening ceremony of Persons and Disabilities Family Day.
“It is amazing to see fellow education students doing sign language. Language is not a barrier at all. It makes me look forward to my sign language class in the future,” says Joie Balmes, a sophomore student.
Apart from the Family Day, education students joined Persons with Disabilities Program and Parade in Las Piñas, a Consultation Forum in SM Southmall, medical and dental missions by volunteers in Pamplona Uno covered court, and ablympics in SM Center Las Piñas.
