The 1st Asian Federation of Student Leaders (AFSL) International Youth Congress held last January 21-24, 2015 in Guam, USA gave its delegates an opportunity to develop strong leadership skills like self-management, people management, and task management anchored on character, integrity and collaboration, thus, fostering peace, harmony, and global kinship through social responsiveness and servant-leadership.
Loren Angeli Estavillo, who was the College of Nursing’s delegate to the Congress, gained invaluable experiences that will help her develop the competencies toward becoming a nurse leader and manager as she embarks in her chosen profession. SISC’s College of Nursing has always been open to innovative educational opportunities that would provide varied and authentic learning experiences for students beyond the structure of a formal classroom or a clinical setting.
