In recognition of Gen Mark Tanno’s victories in two international science and mathematics competitions held in 2011, the Philippine’s Department of Science and Technology (DOST) will confer on him the Youth Excellence in Science (YES) Award.

Tanno’s twin wins in the 14th Po Leung Kuk Primary Mathematics Competition World Contest (PWMC), Hongkong and 2011 Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC) earned him the much coveted recognition.

He will be lauded in the YES Awarding Ceremonies on February 10, 2012 at the PHIVOLCS Auditorium, University of the Philippines – Diliman, Quezon City.
