Michelle Gavagan, a Mass Communication student of Southville International School and Colleges (SISC), and reigning Miss Southville 2010, is an early crowd favorite in the Miss Philippines Earth 2011 beauty pageant.  Representing Las Piñas City, she bested 49 other lovely candidates to win the Ms. Golden Sunset Special Award in the preliminary competition held at Golden Sunset Resort, Calatagan, Batangas.

Voting period is until May 20, 2011 at 11:59 PM.

 

Now on its 11th year advocating environment initiatives, Miss Philippines Earth focuses on forest conservation. What spices up the competition is the series of elimination rounds to be held before the coronation night on June 5, 2011, with telecast on ABS-CBN Channel 2 at 10:00 PM. Only ten aspiring candidates will reach the final cut and vie for the crown.

 

The winner will represent the country in Miss Earth 2011 to be held in Thailand in November.
