The Miss Philippines World Crown seems to be tailor-fit for Southville royal beauties.
In an epic moment last June 24, Miss World 2011 First Princess and Southville Foreign University (SFU) alumna Gwendoline Ruais crowned Miss Philippines World 2012 Queenierich Rehman, also an alumna of Southville International School and Colleges (SISC). Aside from the main title, Rehman also won Best in Swimwear, Miss Photogenic, Miss Talent, Miss Philippine Prudential, Miss World Traveler, Miss Pantene, and Miss AMAzing Beauty and Brains.
The 5’7’’ stunner is not a newbie to beauty pageants. She was a contender in last year’s Binibining Pilipinas, where she landed in the Top 15 and bagged the Best in Swimsuit award. In her high school days at SISC, she won 1st runner-up in the Ms. SISC pageant 2005. Apart from conquering runways, she was also the queen of the courts as an active member of SISC’s basketball varsity team, where she twice received the Most Valuable Player award.
Quennie bested twenty-four other candidates to earn the right to represent the Philippines in the Miss World 2012 to be held in Inner Mongolia, China on August 18. The entire country has high hopes that she will grab the elusive Miss World crown, following Gwendoline Ruais’ impressive victory as First Princess last year.
