The Outdoor Educational Program (OEP) is intended to optimize the learning of the students by making them appreciate the interconnectedness between the different subject areas and real-life experiences. Southville-BS Tourism student Pauline Gonzales won the Filipiniana Pageant hosted by the Union of Filipino Tourism Educators and Students Congress’ at Treston International College, Bonifacio Global City last February 27, 2016.

Southville students Fritz Bautista and Andrea Alcantara also won third place in International Package Tour Competition.

The College of Education continues its outreach Secondary to Tertiary Education Pathing Program (STEPP) to the senior students of Captain Abet Aguilar National High School. The outreach program which started in 2010 aims to help public high school students pass the entrance examination of Colleges and Universities of their choice. Faculty members from the College of Education and General Education Department are assigned to teach English, Mathematics, Sciences, and Humanities. There was a mixture of emotion and slight disappointment on face of the 22 year old Gino Paulo I. Santos, a Southville High School Alumnus, when he placed 6th in the 2014 Licensure Examination for Physical Therapy (PT).
