Recognizing how technology plays a vital role in today’s society, Southville International School and Colleges is offering two additional tracks in its BS Information Technology program starting school year 2018-2019: Artificial Intelligence and Mobile Applications.

Students majoring in Mobile Apps will learn how to design and host mobile apps good for gaming, entertainment, and productivity while students majoring in AI will tackle real-world projects such as handwriting/speech recognition and stock trading with neural networks.

Southville Math Whiz Reaps Awards in Vietnam



Southville International School and Colleges Grade 8 student, Gwyneth Margaux Tangog, brought home medals from the 15th Hanoi Math Olympiad Competition held last March 26-30, 2018 in the capital city of Vietnam. Tangog earned a gold medal in the team competition together with four more Gr. 8 students from the Philippines by finishing in first place followed by Vietnam and then China. She also added a bronze medal in the individual contest, competing at the Junior level.

Southville Holds Model United Nations 2018



Southville International School and Colleges welcomes delegates to the Model United Nations Conference 2018 on April 7 and 8, 2018. The conference provides an opportunity for students to get to learn about international politics and diplomacy. The conference helps the students to enhance their public speaking, debate, and leadership skills. Southville earns praise from visiting WASC team



Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) was visited by a team of six international educators last March 11 – 15, 2018 as part of the re-accreditation process for the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, (WASC) U.S.A. WASC is one of the six regional accrediting associations in the United States that assure the delivery of quality education. The members of the team are all trained in the process of assessing schools, and they spent the week exploring every aspect of school life at SISC.

Creative Professionals Review Student Art for Exhibit



MARCH 2, 2018— in preparation for their external exhibit, the fourth-year students of Multimedia Arts presented their proposed artworks to a panel of creative practitioners at the Lecture Room of the Media Center. The exhibit’s theme, human trafficking, required the students to express their awareness on the issue through various media. The presentation included photos, illustrations, video productions, and sculptures.

Our Asian Hospital Nursing Clinical Experience



We had the privilege to spend the last three weeks (Feb. 19 – Mar. 7, 2018) of our clinical rotation in one of the five Joint Commission International (JCI) accredited hospitals in the Philippines, Asian Hospital and Medical Center (AHMC). We are the pioneer batch of student nurses who were allowed to have our hospital duties there – we made history in both SISC Nursing and AHMC.

Southville Robotics Teams Win First Competition



The robotics teams Southville International School and Colleges recently entered their first competition and came in second place and third place facing off against other entrants from public and private schools. The Junior High School Team of Cuitlauzina Brianna Cerbito, Stefano Crispino De Castro, Iñigo Miguel Hernandez and Gwyneth Margaux Tangog finished first runner-up in Envirobot 2018 held at Far Eastern University – Diliman.

The Senior High School Team of Tricia Hannah Arenas, Pola Berba and Song Jun Kyu, meanwhile, placed second runner-up in the same inter-school robotics competition.

Viktor Frankl, a Holocaust survivor and Austrian neurologist, often quotes, “He who has a why can bear any how.” On the 13th of March, 2018, Southville held a Meet and Greet event with actress, and Psychology student, Jodi Sta.
