The Preschool and Grade School Divisions of Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) recently watched Repertory Philippines’ The Wizard of Oz at Onstage, Greenbelt 1, Makati. The students had a grand time experiencing the colorful sets and costumes, lively music, simple dialogue, lyrics, humor of the cast members, and the special effects. The students also enjoyed immensely the audience participation portion of the play when they interacted with the Cowardly Lion, the Tin Man and the Scarecrow.
The cast, on their part, marveled at how well-behaved and adorable their audience from SISC was. They noted how the students were very much into the show – listening intently, and eagerly participating which show their intelligence.
The cultural show is part of SISC’s goal to expose students to good art (literature, music, and dance) with the hope that they will keep appreciating it as they grow up and help them become thinking and feeling adults.
