Li’l Princess now a CCP Ballerina



Ms. Earth Angel 2008 and Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) student Joanna Marcelo is one of the privileged few chosen to receive a full scholarship in ballet from the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP).

“It is very seldom that someone new in this field would be given a full scholarship. Most of the time, scholarships are given to intermediate dancers that’s why I am very honored to receive it,” Joanna humbly exclaimed.

Joanna initially got a half scholarship last summer and eventually qualified for the full scholarship.  She is now busy rehearsing for the CCP’s Peter Pan production.

SISC Joins the Int’l Bamboo Organ Festival



SISC Tourism students were invited by the Las Piñas Bamboo Organ Foundation Committee to be ushers and usherettes in the 36th International Bamboo Organ Festival held last February 17-23, 2011. They were Diandra Bonus, Justin Formentera, Bea Tantiongco, Cylene Apao, Brian Dela Peña, Alissa Jean Du, Emily Gaiser, Ira Nicdao, Roi Pomar, Marc Oñate, MJ Palado, and Kian Tirados.

The festival featured cultural and musical presentations to promote tourism development through the historic Bamboo Organ in St. Joseph Parish, Las Piñas City. SISC students were elated to be exposed to events that are vital to the country’s tourism industry. [Read more]

Social Responsibility Highlighted in Int’l Friendship Day



More than meeting new friends from other schools, SISC Girl Scouts from preschool to grade six exercised leadership skills and practiced social responsibility, during the International Friendship Day of the USA Girl Scouts Overseas-Manila Chapter held at International School Manila last November 21, 2009. Each Girl Scout was asked to bring a bucket of toiletries containing towel, body powder, toothbrush, comb, soap, shampoo and the likes, to be given to Girl Scout of the Philippines (GSP) troops in Pangasinan.

Intellectual Tournament Set



November 26 marks the largest scholarly competition among the Grades Six to High School IV students of Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) as they compete in the upcoming 2nd Academic Olympiad.
Celebrating the theme “The catalyst of a socially responsible future,” students will get to participate in activities all aimed at showcasing their wits and talents and building up camaraderie and collaboration among them. As young as nine years old, Southville students are involved in social outreach programs of the school. One of which is the Save a Poor Urban Child (Po.U.Ch.) launched in 1992, a program that addresses the daily nutritional and schooling needs of poor but deserving school children. Straight from grandslamming in the International Schools Activities Conference (ISAC) for Volleyball last year, Southville International School and Colleges is set to host the upcoming ISAC Volleyball Boys and Girls Competition to be held on October 8-10, 2009.

Southville BS Psychology Graduates Conquer the Psychometrician Licensure Exams



September 9, 2016 – Seven graduates of the BS Psychology Class 2016 of Southville International School and Colleges passed the recent August 2016 Psychometrician Licensure Examination as per the official results release by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and Board of Psychology (BoP).

Southville College of Nursing Honors a New Achiever

Southville Advocates Student Entrepreneurship through the 1st Entrep Boot Camp



In advocacy of instilling the spirit of Entrepreneurship in the hearts and minds of the students, Southville International School and Colleges held the 1st Entrep Boot Camp at the Multi Purpose Hall of the school’s Tropical Campus last August 18 – 20, 2016.

The Entrep Boot Camp is a three-day seminar-workshop designed to orient students in generating, developing, and evaluating ideas to launch innovative and viable new products. Various tools and techniques were introduced that allowed the participants to “develop and construct” new products which were presented before a panel of judges on the third day.

Southville Student Hosts the First Speedcubing Competition in Las Piñas



Southville International School and Colleges hosted the first ever Speedcubing competition in Las Piñas at the Multiple Purpose Hall last April 3, 2016.

The event called Las Piñas Open 2016 @ SISC was attended by 80 contestants and held several events such as the Rubiks Cube, 4×4 Cube, 5×5 Cube, 6×6 Cube, 7×7 Cube, 3×3 Cube Blindfolded, Pyraminx, and Skewb recognized by the World Cube Association and Philippine Cubers Association, the world and national governing body of Speedcubing.
