Southville BS IT Students Join ISOC InterComm 2015



July 8, 2015 – Habagat may have brought torrential rains but this did not stop the students from the college of Information Technology of Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) to help in preparing for the Internet Society’s (ISOC) Intercommunity 2015, the first virtual meeting of the global society.

Southville Students Ace the IGCSE Exams



Southville International School and Colleges’ Hwang In Wook of International Baccalaureate (IB) 1 obtained the highest grade of A* in the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examination in Chemistry conducted by the University of Cambridge, UK. Three other SISC students got a grade of A namely Lee So Min of IB – 1 for Chemistry, Mirielle Gianna Mintu of Gr. 10 – Commitment for Biology, and Kim Kyung Rok of IB – 1 for Mathematics B. Southville Karatekas Bring Home The Gold



September 3, 2016 – The Karateras of Southville International School and Colleges brought home eight medals from the 2016 Philippine Karate League – National Karatedo Championship held at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.

The 5-man team of Southville Karate won three gold, three silver, and two bronze in various categories like the Bo (staff), Kata, and Nunchaku. The winners are:

Southville College Kicks off with School Pride and Student Recognition



July 14, 2016 – School spirit intensified as Southville International School and Colleges launched the start of the First semester with a College General Assembly.

Students from all nine colleges flooded the Monarchs Hall to show love and rally behind their deans through the thunderous applause, cheers, flags and balloons.

The Season of Giving



They say that part of Christmas is about giving gifts and spreading joy. Last December, the Psychology and Tourism students together with the faculty of Southville International School and Colleges did just that with a gift-giving program for the children of CAA.

A few weeks before the event, the students were given a wishlist with the names of the children so they will have ample time to buy presents for their chosen kid. Seniors excel in college applications



Gillian Joy S. Cruz of Senior High School was awarded the De La Salle College of Saint Benilde – Benildean Excellence in Scholastic and Talent (BEST) scholarship. The BEST Scholarship is the highest form of scholarship in the College, and is awarded to those who have an outstanding academic record and consistent substantive achievement in curricular, co- and extracurricular activities.

Southville Officer Delivers a Speech at the ASEAN Teachers Conference



On March 4, 2015, our Vice-President for Academics and Research Dr. Marjorie Gutierrez-Tangog delivered a talk at the “ASEAN Teachers Conference: Learning to Learn Above SEA Level and Tomorrow”. The event was held at the Amoranto Theater, Diliman Quezon City and was attended by teachers and education students from Metro Manila. Joining her as keynote speakers were Senator Bam Aquino, Senator Nikki Coseteng, assistant Vice President of UP –Professor Nes Raneses, and Principal of the Year Ms. Espe Bautista.

Southville Gears Up for 2015 WASC Visit



“The entire school leadership and staff of Southville International School Colleges have shown a commitment to provide a quality educational program for its students. Southville Math Genius off to National finals



Gen Mark Tanno of Southville International School and Colleges’ (SISC) International Baccalaureate Diploma Program hurdled the area stage of the Philippine Mathematical Olympiad (PMO) to advance to the National Finals of the oldest and most prestigious math competitions among public and private high school students in the country.
As one of the twenty qualifiers for the National Finals, Gen Mark will have the chance to be a part of the Philippine Team that will represent the country in the 56th International Math Olympiad (IMO) in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Maestro Arnel de Pano Teaches Choral Music to SISC Students in Open Workshop



Music lovers got a first taste of what it means to sing and perform choral music from no less than Maestro Arnel de Pano in an Open Choral Workshop held at the Southville International Schools and Colleges on January 24.

The workshop, titled “I Love Music,” had Maestro Arnel teaching the basic elements of the art to college students.
