Southville Math Wizard Triumphs Hongkong Tourneys



Jeremie Keon Torralba of Grade 4 Humility won back-to-back awards in international mathematics competitions held in Hongkong.

He ranked 3rd in the 10th Asia Cup Stars of the Olympic Math Finals, and won a special award in the Hua Cup International Olympics Mathematics (Hong Kong Macau Region) Final Competition.

A member of the Mathematics Trainers Guild of the Philippines, Keon passed the rigid selection of the Mathematics Development Academy of the Philippines. His remarkable performance in their series of training programs qualified him to represent the Philippines together with other Filipino qualifiers.

Monarchs Take Home Championship Crown



Holding the 2009 Over-All Championship Title of International Schools Activities Conference (ISAC), Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) ruled over Global Jaya International School (GJIS) in the Volleyball and Basketball Girls and Boys Division in the Asian International Schools Conference (AISAC) held in Indonesia recently.

Exclusively open to the two founding international schools (SISC and GJIS), AISAC is aimed to be a premiere sports competition among international schools in Asia, preferably accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO).

Efren Peñaflorida speaks at Basic Education’s Kick-Off Event



In celebration of Southville’s 25th Foundation Anniversary, the Basic Education department held a Kick-Off event last September 21, 2015 at the Monarchs Gym. Efren Peñaflorida, the 2009 CNN Hero of the Year and Founder of Kariton Klasrum, was the guest speaker. Southville holds Arts & Crafts workshop at Fully Booked



Southville International School and Colleges organized an Arts & Crafts workshop at Fully Booked Alabang Town Center last September 12, 2015. Children of all ages attended and enjoyed the activities prepared by SISC Art teachers. The participants learned how to create bookmarks and do origami. The Arts & Crafts workshop is only the first in SISC’s “Learn the Southville Way at Fully Booked” series of activities that exhibits our brand of high quality international education.

SISC libraries unveil new activities for new year



An abundance of fun and educational events will be offered by the SISC Libraries so students – Basic Education and College alike – can enjoy activities that stimulate imagination and creativity.
The ”Book-a-Librarian” service allows the participant to get, not just one-on-one assistance from the librarian, but also a free 30-minute appointment with a “sashed rover” who will sing the Dewey Decimal Classification Song, talk about the Wedding Dance, or tour the participant around the library. Wearing a distinctive sash, sashed rovers are available in the library to assist with general library and basic Internet and computer queries.

Southville Holds Substance Abuse Prevention Seminar



Knowing that education is the best deterrent against substance abuse, Southville International School and Colleges’ Discipline Office recently held a Substance Abuse Prevention and Awareness Seminar last for Grades 8 – 11 students.  Invited as facilitator was Dr. Bernard M. Regalado, Head of the Drug Testing Laboratory of Asia Pacific Medical and Diagnostics, Inc., and accredited physician of the Dangerous Drugs Board.

Sofia Jumao-as is Southville’s New Ice Princess



Sofia May Emerald Jumao-as of Grade 3 – Wisdom of Southville International School and Colleges reaped 6 gold medals and a trophy as the highest pointer in the Female Basic Category of the recent Skate Manila 2016 held at the SM Mall of Asia.

In a special correspondence, Sofia’s mother thanked Southville in expressing support and confidence in Sofia’s achievements.
