Southville Youth in Duke of Edinburgh International Award



Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) will be participating in the highly prestigious Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) International Award. This award is the world’s leading achievement award for young people bringing together practical experiences and life skills to create committed global citizens and to equip young people for life.

The Award is comprised of three levels which are Bronze, Silver, and Gold. The fifth and final event of the series “Learn the Southville way at Fully Booked” was held with a lecture on book blogging. The guest bloggers include Kai Agito, from Amaterasu Reads, Kate Manalo of The Bookaholic Blurbs, Hazel Ureta from Stay Bookish, and one of Southville International School and Colleges’ very own, Jesselle Villegas from The Lifelong Bookworm.

Southville Student Leaders Hone True Leadership



June 23, 2016 – Student leaders and council officers of Southville International School and Colleges honed their leadership skills through the Outdoor Workshop on Leadership (OWL) held at Stonyhurst Southville International School in Lipa City, Batangas where they were joined other students leaders from Southville Global Education Network coming from South Mansfield College, Stonyhurst-Southville International School – Batangas campus, and StonyhurstSouthville International School – Malarayat campus.

IB World School Accrediting Team Commends SISC-IB



The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme is designed as an academically challenging and balanced programme of education with final examinations checked by examiners outside the country. The programme has gained recognition and respect from the world’s leading universities, including Stanford and Harvard. Students who earned the much-coveted IB diploma can be granted acceptance into Philippine premier universities such as UP and Ateneo de Manila without sitting for the admission tests. The Southville Student Council officers honed their leadership skills through the Outdoor Workshop on Leadership (OWL) held recently at Bluroze Farm in Lipa City, Batangas. They were joined by other students leaders from Southville Global Education Network coming from South Mansfield College, Stonyhurst-Southville International School – Batangas, and StonyhurstSouthville International School – Malarayat to learn about Leadership Dimensions, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens, and the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Awards.

SISC BSN Students Join the World Health Organization’s Hand Sanitizing Relay



Cinco de Mayo (‘Fifth of May’), a popular Mexican festival had a different meaning for our BSN freshmen students who were invited to join the fun Hand Sanitizing Relay sponsored by the Infection Prevention and Control Committee of Asian Hospital & Medical Center (AHMC) last May 5, 2015. It was a health campaign by the World Health Organization’s international movement to strengthen the critical role of hand hygiene in reducing healthcare associated infections (HAI). Southville Holds Travel Trade Expo



Famous local tourist destinations such as Ilocos, Palawan, Cebu, and Davao were showcased in the recently held Enjoy the Sun and Fun! Travel and Trade Expo 2015.

Organized by Southville International School and Colleges’ College of Tourism, the event aimed to promote tourism in the Philippines and at the same time, provide hands-on experience in events planning and management to the students.

Southville Young Mathematicians Garner Top Awards



In partnership with the Department of Education-National Capital Region, DOST- SEI, the Mathematics Trainers’ Guild Philippines, the Mathematical Society of the Philippines, and the Philippine Council of Mathematics Educators, Sharp Calculators named Gen Mark Tanno of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme one of the Ten Outstanding Young Mathematicians of the National Capital Region. He was recognized in the Awarding Ceremony held last February 28, 2015 at the SMX Convention Center Hall 2 in SM Aura, Taguig City.

College of Comm Raises Community Awareness through CSR Week



The College of Communication organized Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Week last July 28 to 31. This event which was held at the fifth floor of the Media Center aimed to raise awareness on SISCs adopted barangay and how the college has extended asssistance to the members of the community.
