Southville Recreation and Sports Programs Open



The Varsity Interest Clubs Toward Outstanding Recreation and Sports (V.I.C.T.O.R.S.) held its series of launching recently for Grade School and High School. The program aims to develop the intellectual, athletic or creative calling of Southville students in a fun yet informative setting.

 

Among the interest clubs available to grade school students are Arts & Crafts, Glee Club/SISC Chorale, YES (Young Enthusiasts in Science), School Buzz, Creative Dramatics, Film Appreciation, Book Lovers, Dance Movers, Girl Scouts, Computer, Math, Basketball, Soccer, Badminton, and Karate/Self-Defense among others.

 

For High School, the clubs include the Model United Nations, YES, Creative Dramatics, Film/Movie

College Gears Up for PACUCOA Accreditation



The Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) College Division will undergo simultaneous accreditation with the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) on February 16-18, 2011 on the following programs: Business Administration, Psychology, Education, Nursing, Information Technology, and Mass Communication.

The entire college community is gearing up for the accreditation visit through a series of orientation on the standards, criteria, and performance indicators set by PACUCOA.

A PACUCOA accreditation indicates that the college program meets the standards of quality set by the accrediting organization in terms of faculty, curriculum, administration, facilities, and student services. It is reserved

Younghusband at Southville International School and Colleges’ Pep Rally



Southville International School and Colleges’ Annual Pep Rally last August 13, 2009 was made even more exciting by the presence of RP Youth National Team Member and former Chelsea player, Philip Younghusband, as its Guest Speaker. Younghusband, whose experience in international football leagues propelled him to be one of the best football players that the Philippines has produced, shared with the students the essence of teamwork and sacrifice. SISC Student Successful in Missionary Trip to Mongolia



Though in itself not a sectarian school, the Southville International and Colleges’ myriad spiritual programs, particularly the monthly “Got Life?” activity, inspired sophomore high school student Juan Alfredo “Red” Calayan to embark on a missionary mission to Mongolia last summer.
                Red Calayan, now in his junior year in high school, is part of the A section of his batch, HS III-Conviction. He is active in many school activities, even serving as features editor of the school paper, “The Mover” for Academic Year 2008-2009.

Turismo Pilipino At Southville



In appreciation and in celebration of our Filipino culture and heritage, the College of Tourism of Southville International School and Colleges is inviting everyone to the Tourism Expo with the theme, “Turismo Pilipino: Exploring the Diversity of Philippine Culture” on September 27-29, 2016, from 9am to 5pm at Southville International School and Colleges Luxembourg Hall.

Open to the public, the tourism expo will showcase exhibits, cultural dances, national costumes, quiz bees, poster making contests and forums highlighting the 7,107 islands of the Philippines. [Read more]

SEED Academy Launches Computer Literacy Campaign



September 3, 2016 – In its advocacy to provide computer literacy and competence to the youth, SEED Academy launched the first learning session of Free Computer Classes at Southville International School and Colleges, Las Piñas City.

Attended by 55 participants from 3 schools, the information technology outreach program aims to provide hands-on computer education to Grade 10 students through Saturday learning sessions in MS Office, Photoshop (photo editing), Adobe Flash (video editing), and Google Apps.

Southville Parent Education Center holds parenting session



Southville Parent Education Center (SPEC) recognizes and acknowledges each parent’s significant role in the education of children. Some parents though truly experience the joys of parenthood, the filial love is nurtured as parents and children enjoy the bonds of family life. There is no rehearsal for parenting, thus, the SPEC is critical in providing support as parents experience the peaks and valleys of parenting.

Southville Gets IIP Gold



“Southville International School and Colleges is the first organization in Asia that got the Gold certificate from IIP without going through Bronze and Silver,” Ms. Janet Webster, the IIP Accrediting Team Leader that did the 3-day assessment in Southville on August 10-12, 2015 said. The IIP Journey was indeed challenging yet fruitful as the entire SISC community worked together and supported each other in all the preparations. Southville alumna gets publishing deal with US publishing house



International fiction author and Southville alumna Kate Evangelista gets a publishing deal with Swoon Reads, an imprint of Macmillan Publishers USA. In a recent interview, Kate, who did her debut as a young adult fiction writer with her novel, Taste, shared the story of her accomplishment. “Swoon Reads has this fantastic website where writers of young adult romance can post their novels in the hopes of getting chosen for their next list.
