Southville Prom Royalties Awarded



It was glitz and glamour rolled into one as the junior and senior high school students of Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) danced the night away during their JS Prom last February 17 at Fernbrook Gardens.

 

The symbolic passing of the key of responsibility by the Seniors to the Juniors marked the former’s numbered days in SISC, and the latter carrying on the legacy of excellence and commitment exemplified by the Seniors.

SISC inks MOA with Paperless Trail Inc.



Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) and Paperless Trail Inc. (PTI) inked a memorandum of agreement last January 11, 2012. The partnership aims to provide SISC’s BS Information Technology students a venue for practicum where they can be exposed to emerging web-based technologies such as digital mapping, Geographical Information System (GIS) applications, and document imaging, for which PTI is the country’s leading solutions provider. PTI developers are experts in document management system, location intelligence tool, web-based application like online metrics, and vehicle tracking and monitoring solution.

Southville College Students Hold Entrepville Bazaar



With the end in mind to produce graduates who will be employers of their own businesses someday, Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) hosted a 2-day business bazaar last September 13-14, 2011. Dubbed as “Entrepville”, the event organized by SISC college students showcased their knowledge and skills in business management and operations.

 

The exhibitors, majority of which are SISC students, offered the audience a wide range of products and services from apparel, fashion accessories, cosmetics, and food, among others.

JPCS Elects National Board of Officers



The Junior Philippine Computer Society recently conducted another successful leadership training workshop at PLDT Teletech InnoLab at Mandaluyong City. Representing Southville International School and Colleges were four of JPCS Chapter’s officers: Jeks Someda, Ina Caceres, Miguel Ventura and Diana Navarro.

 

JPCS officers from 28 different schools attended the 3-day workshop headed by Ms. Karen dela Cruz of Reinvent Technology to further enhance their leadership skills.

 

The selection of PCS/JPCS National Board of Officers was also done, where JPCS – Southville Chapter’s Jeks Someda was elected as the Director for International Linkages. [Read more]

Southville off to the ‘Grand Prix’



Southville students made it to the finals of the 2010 Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP) Students Grand Prix Competition with the theme “Bagong Pinoy, Bagong Pinas!” This despite the challenge of facing different schools nationwide, in what is considered as the most prestigious interschool competition for PR.

Southville Night School Emerged Winners in Stock Trading



Team Crunch from SEED Academy emerged as Champion in the recent Capital Market Competition participated in by Southville Global Education (SGEN) Community. The team, composed of Harold Sabanal, Arjay Almanzor, and Wilbert Beltran won a gold medal, P3,000 cash prize, and a Certificate of Excellence. Team Zero also from SEED Academy, ranked 2nd while Team SFU Lojo from Southville Foreign University placed third.

Senior CGS focused on life journey



The High School Graduating Class had its Batch Comprehensive Growth Series (CGS) on January 14 – 16, 2014 with the theme “Moving On: Making a Difference.” The seniors took three days away from campus at the beautiful Covenant House & Retreat Center in Dasmarinas, Cavite to reflect on their collective experience at SISC and have one last hurrah as a graduating class. Southville Dance Troupe Learns Korean Culture



Members of Southville Dance Troupe recently attended the Korean Cultural Dance Workshop held at Korean Wave Hall, Korean Cultural Center of the Philippines, Global City, Taguig. The event was attended by fifty selected student-dancers coming from different schools in Metro Manila. Attendees were treated to an afternoon of different Korean traditional dance styles and techniques led by Mr. KIM Yong-chul of the SUP Dance Troupe and the official resource speaker-dance lecturer representative from Korea. The Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) BS Tourism college students had a rare opportunity of getting inspired by a cyberspace personality when one of the most followed Philippine travel blog writers appeared in the flesh.
