Our recent trip to the “Kingdom of Wonder” or Cambodia, consisting of 25 International Baccalaureate students and three staff members from SISC, proved to be an experience of a lifetime. It’s just the middle of the year and Gen Mark Tanno of Southville International School and Colleges has already brought home awards from China and Bulgaria, not only for his school but also for his country. Just before the month of July ended, Tanno helped the Philippine Team prevailed in the 2013 Math Olympiad held in Jiangxi, China by winning a silver medal. Gen Mark Tanno, a Grade 10 student of Southville International School and Colleges, brought home a Merit Award and placed Second-Runner Up in the Team and Group Contests in th 2013 Bulgaria International Mathematics Competition (BIMC) held in Bugas, Bulgaria, last June 30 to July 5. The Preschool and Grade School Divisions of Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) recently watched Repertory Philippines’ The Wizard of Oz at Onstage, Greenbelt 1, Makati. The students had a grand time experiencing the colorful sets and costumes, lively music, simple dialogue, lyrics, humor of the cast members, and the special effects.
