Southville Student Wins Silver in International Math Contest



To be chosen as a Philippine representative is already an honor, but Gen Mark Tanno, a high school freshman of Southville International School and Colleges (SISC), was determined to make his alma mater and country prouder. After months of intensive training, he clinched a silver medal in the Po Leung Kuk World Math Contest (PWMC) individual competition.

The 14th PWMC held in Hong Kong from July 13-17, 2011 drew 44 teams from 15 countries, namely Australia, Bulgaria, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Macau, Malaysia, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand, United States, and the Philippines.

Southville students become Microsoft Certified Professionals



Current students and recent graduates of the Information Technology course at Southville have recently gained the prestigious Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist certification on the implementation and maintenance of Microsoft Databases (SQL Server 2005). The exam takers recorded a 100% passing rate for all the non-graduated students of Southville and also a 100% passing rate for all the Southville scholars. This particular certification is valued worldwide due to the degree of difficulty with Training kits and preparation guides typically being over 1000 pages in length.

19th Year Glitters with Big Event



The musical performance of Flutist Ray O. Sison and Pianist Ingrid Sala Santamaria, as well as the crowning of 2009 Mr. and Ms. SISC, highlighted the 19th founding anniversary celebration of Southville International School and Colleges.

Living Up to the International Name, SISC IT Dept, KIV Share Expertise



Armed with the passion to extend expertise on Information Communications Technologies (ICT), members of the Korean Internet Volunteers (KIV) headed by Ilryoung Lee, a graduate school student of Ewha Womans University, spent a month of volunteer work in the Information Technology Department of Southville International School and Colleges.

Southville Brings Principals Together, Shares Best Practices



Recognizing the importance of coming together and learning from each other, Southville recently hosted an intimate chitchat among some school officers of private and public schools in Las Pinas.

The event was an avenue for the schools to listen to the different challenges of implementing senior high school and at the same time, discuss how they can partner to address the gaps identified.

Southville BS IT Students Join ISOC InterComm 2015



July 8, 2015 – Habagat may have brought torrential rains but this did not stop the students from the college of Information Technology of Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) to help in preparing for the Internet Society’s (ISOC) Intercommunity 2015, the first virtual meeting of the global society.

JPCS-Southville Chapter Joins Y4IT Congress



The Junior Philippine Computer Society – Southville International School and Colleges Chapter (JPCS-SISC) attended the 12th Youth Congress on Information Technology (Y4IT) held at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay city last September 11, 2014.

Themed “Harnessing the Power of Me”, the Y4IT event featured professionals hailing from major IT companies, leaders of the Internet governing bodies and trendy startup entrepreneurs. Southville Students Ace the IGCSE Exams



Southville International School and Colleges’ Hwang In Wook of International Baccalaureate (IB) 1 obtained the highest grade of A* in the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examination in Chemistry conducted by the University of Cambridge, UK. Three other SISC students got a grade of A namely Lee So Min of IB – 1 for Chemistry, Mirielle Gianna Mintu of Gr. 10 – Commitment for Biology, and Kim Kyung Rok of IB – 1 for Mathematics B. Southville Karatekas Bring Home The Gold



September 3, 2016 – The Karateras of Southville International School and Colleges brought home eight medals from the 2016 Philippine Karate League – National Karatedo Championship held at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
