The Exhibit class of 4th Year AB Multimedia Arts held its external art exhibit entitled, “# (Hashtag)”, from March 11 to 15, 2015 at the Home Zone area of Alabang Town Center. The theme was to promote certain social issues that violate the society.

The exhibit featured works made by the following artists: Romano Arriza, Jeorge Balisoro, Angelo Castillo, Nikki Chua, Loraine Delumen, Erika Diduro, JC Espina, Patricia Gahutan, Clarissa Herrera, Jairose Jacildo, Eliza Maquirang, Kenneth Masangkay, Candy Quitania, Jacob Sabuquia, Saudan Sibugan, and Karina So. Different types of mediums were used in their artworks, such as digital art, represented different social issues that currently affect the society, some of which were global warming, freedom of speech, and child abuse.

The ingress began on March 10, a day before the opening. The 4th Year students began preparations for the exhibit after mall-hours, as they were not allowed to do so while the mall still open. Preparations comprised of delivering the wooden panels and stands to the venue, arranging the placements of the artworks, and setting up the exhibit itself.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony took place the following day on March 11, at 1 PM. A number of prominent figures from Southville International School and Colleges visited the event, including Dr. Marjorie Tangog (Vice-President of Academics and Research), Dr. Jerry Aguilar (Southville Director for Public Relations), Dr. Felma Tria (Dean of AB Communications and AB Multimedia Arts), and Sir Ruel Cajili (Dean of BS Psychology), among others. Fellow schoolmates, instructors, family members, and friends of the exhibitors also attended and showed their support.

Visitors were also able to enjoy other activities, such as the acoustic sessions, which were performed during the evening of the first and last two days of the exhibit; a flash mob, where G2P dancers performed a “surprise” dance number at the venue; a freedom wall, where guests could write their thoughts and comments; and a food booth and coffee bar that offered finger food and unlimited coffee.
