Basic Education students of Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) got into the spirit of friendly competition through the intramurals held on September 21, 2012 for Grade School and September 24 – 25, 2012 for High School. The events were basketball, volleyball, soccer, dodge ball, badminton, and obstacle relay which allowed the students to exhibit their athletic skills and their sportsmanship to spectators. Highlighting the whole affair was the cheer dancing competition where more than 150 cheer dancers from high school division participated.
The intramural sports competition provided a healthy, social outlet for the release of the students’ energies and competitiveness. The development of sportsmanlike behavior is also one of the major goals of the intramural sports program.
