Music lovers got a first taste of what it means to sing and perform choral music from no less than Maestro Arnel de Pano in an Open Choral Workshop held at the Southville International Schools and Colleges on January 24.
The workshop, titled “I Love Music,” had Maestro Arnel teaching the basic elements of the art to college students. Topics covered were rhythm, melody, tempo, the different musical styles and the students were encouraged to participate by singing even as they were taught how to prepare their vocal instruments. Mr. de Pano is a prominent singer, composer, and music teacher who has made a name in the Gospel circuit.
