IB EXPO 2025: Game Night Turns Learning into Play at Southville

IB EXPO 2025: Game Night Turns Learning into Play at Southville

Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) brought the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme to life in the most exciting way possible during the IB EXPO 2025: Game Night held last March 20 at Luxembourg Hall. The event was a vibrant showcase of creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration as IB students transformed academic concepts into interactive games and engaging challenges.
The expo provided a unique opportunity to experience the essence of the IB Diploma Programme — not through lectures or presentations, but through play. From brain-teasing quizzes to subject-based obstacle courses and strategy games, every activity offered a taste of what it means to learn the IB way: actively, globally, and with purpose.
The IB students took the lead in designing and hosting the games, turning complex ideas from subjects like Theory of Knowledge (TOK), Math, Sciences, Humanities, and Languages into fun, hands-on learning experiences. Their enthusiasm and creativity turned Luxembourg Hall into a dynamic learning playground, breaking down academic barriers and making learning both accessible and enjoyable.
Game Night wasn’t just about fun — it was a powerful display of the IB learner profile in action. Students demonstrated leadership, communication, and a commitment to service as they mentored and engaged their younger peers, sparking curiosity about the challenges and rewards of the IB journey.
A big congratulations to all the IB students and faculty who made this event a success! The IB EXPO 2025 proved that learning can be both rigorous and exciting when passion and innovation collide.
