High School and College students from all over Southville Global Education Network (SGEN) recently accomplished a six-month stock market challenge in partnership with the Rotary Club of Makati Salcedo (RCMS). The SGEN – RCMS Stock Market Challenge was organized by the SGEN’s Capital Market Learning Center (CMLC). Participating schools were comprised of Southville International School and Colleges (SISC), Southville International School Affiliated with Foreign University (SISFU), South Mansfield College (SMC), and Stonyhurst Southville International School (SSIS). The challenge took over from October 2018 to March 2019. The trading period challenged the participants to battle through the highest profit at the end of the competition. A strict monitoring of market status was set to be accomplished through buying, selling and retaining stocks.
