Southville Partners with Nanyang Polytechnic and Oikos Helping Hand for Cultural Exchange Program

Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) partnered with Nanyang Polytechnic, Singapore, and Oikos Helping Hand to launch a transformative Cultural Exchange program. With the theme “Kaleidoscope: A Cultural Exchange Extravaganza,” students from both institutions immersed themselves in cultural activities and booths to foster mutual respect and understanding across cultures.

The IB 2 students recently had a successful conclusion to their Theory of Knowledge (ToK) curriculum through their exhibition entitled Knowledge Kaleidoscope: Unveiling the Truths of Refracted Realities last February 27, 2024, at MPH Tropical.

During the morning session, eight hand-picked plenary speakers presented their exhibitions answering their chosen knowledge question to a plenary crowd of Grade 9 and 10 students to give them a glimpse into how to navigate the world through the lens of the Theory of Knowledge. The Ruth Foundation (TRF) for Palliative and Hospice Care in Muntinlupa City is a community-based organization providing palliative and hospice care primarily for indigent individuals with advanced illness and home-bound elderly within the municipality of Muntinlupa, and neighboring cities in Southern Luzon, since 2013. SISC, College of Nursing established a promising partnership with TRC in 2019; however, the pandemic caused an untimely disruption. Fifth grader strikes gold in International Gymnastics Competition

A student-athlete from Munich Campus won 1 gold and 3 silver medals at the 8th STY International Gymnastics Cup that took place recently in Muntinlupa City. Sage Kaufman of Gr. 5 – Trustworthiness demonstrated exceptional talent and skill to surpass other gymnasts from Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Thailand, and the Philippines.

Kaufman also clinched 2 gold and 2 silver medals at the 6th The Making of a Champion (TMC) Gymnastics Friendship Meet. She competed in women’s artistic gymnastics which uses a range of
apparatuses like the vault, uneven bars, and balance beam to perform her routine.
