Grade 10, IB students, and Grade 11-12 students from the Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM) strand are putting their knowledge of financial investing and stock markets to the test in the 2023 Southville Global Education Network (SGEN) Stock Trading Challenge involving other students from SGEN schools. Conducted in partnership with Rotary Club Makati Salcedo and the Capital Market Institute of the Philippines, the contest aims to demystify the equity markets by exposing participants to hands-on trading in the Philippine Stock Exchange.

Using COL Financial, Inc.’s online stock trading platform, young investors from SISC, Southville International School Affiliated with Foreign Universities, South Mansfield College, Stonyhurst Southville International School – Batangas, Stonyhurst Southville International School – Malarayat and Asian SEED Academy of Technology (ASAT) get to develop sound investing and trading strategies by learning about risk, diversification, company and industry analysis, and many other important aspects of the stock market in real-time scenarios.
