Southville International School and Colleges’ (SISC) High School Deputy Principal Junessa “Nessie” Lumbres has been invited by the Westeran Association of School and Colleges (WASC) to join an Accreditation Mid-Cycle International Visit in 2025. She will be part of a team of educational experts who will assess Ivy Collegiate Academy in Taichung, Taiwan.
Ms. Lumbres was selected based on her educational experience and expertise, having played an important role in SISC’s successful WASC Self-Study and Re-accreditation in 2024. She brings a thorough understanding of the WASC evaluation process, and a strong commitment to high educational standards, continuous improvement, and student success.
As a visiting team member, she will observe Ivy Collegiate Academy in operation, review student performance data, look see students engaged in learning, and dialogue with administrators, teachers, students, and other stakeholders. She will then help prepare a progress report outlining the team’s findings for the school and for WASC.
“At SISC, we are immensely proud of Ms. Junessa Lumbres for her commitment to educational excellence. We are confident that she will contribute significantly to the evaluation process, having also been certified as an ISO internal auditor, IQA Lead Auditor and Philippine Quality Award-trained assessor. Her invitation to the WASC Accreditation Mid-Cycle International Visit is a testament to her dedication and exceptional competence.” said SISC Principal Avic Suarez.
