Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) received the Certificate of Appreciation from First Place, Inc. (FPI) in grateful recognition of its strong commitment to supporting educational and cultural exchange programs that have benefited its students. The awarding was held at Dusit Thani Manila last November 12, 2022, with the Chairperson of the Southville Institute of Tourism, Rene Aligonero, representing SISC.

SISC and FPI have been partners for almost two decades in assisting SISC’s college students’ deployment and learning from internships in the United States. Participants have spoken of the excellent training they received from various hospitality businesses abroad while developing self-reliance and independence. Likewise, they got to experience other cultures and gain new friends and business contacts.

SISC students and graduates who have had the chance to live, travel, study, train, and work as exchange visitors in the US include Merielle Megan Delim (BS Information); Chrislyn Marie Arduo (BS Tourism); Minerva Janne Ganaden (BS Entrepreneurship); Mark Dennis Aguila (BS Tourism); Kathleen Lorena (AB Communication); Balbir Bansal (BS Tourism); Rommel Valderrama (BS Tourism), Alyssa Santos (BS Tourism), Nichole Cordero (BSBA Marketing), Kazzandra Espinosa (AB Communication), Marc Sanchez (BSBA Marketing), Fritz Bautista (BS Tourism), Nathalie Atendido (BSBA Marketing), Ericka Chelsea Navarro (BSBA HRM), Kurt Ravago (BS Tourism), Adrian Hicap (BS Tourism), Ithiel Pabiton (BS Tourism), Jamile Bobis (BS Tourism), and Franchesca Felizardo (BS Tourism).

The success of the international internship program has been manifested by the positions and achievements of the graduates who are now making waves in the airline, entrepreneurship, business, information technology, and hospitality fields.
