Southville Partners with Silliman University to Promote Academic and Community Exchanges

Southville International School & Colleges (SISC) has entered into a partnership with Silliman University (SU) to promote academic and community exchanges. Formalizing the start of the collaboration were SISC President Jocelyn Tizon and SU President Betty Cernol-McCann who signed the memorandum of understanding last August 24, 2024.

This tie-up will start with a Dual Sports Meet featuring the schools’ Basketball, Football, and Volleyball varsity teams at the 2025 Silliman Foundation celebration. This initiative aims to strengthen the bond between Southville and Silliman while promoting fellowship and camaraderie among their students.

SISC athletes can represent the school with athletic prowess, resilience and pride while experiencing the vibrant culture of Dumaguete—from exploring the iconic campus town and savoring local culinary delights to diving into the city’s renowned marine adventures. The Southville Varsity teams eagerly anticipate joining the Silliman University Foundation Day in August 2025.
