Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) was welcomed by officials and faculty members of the Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) Manila to share its experiences and best practices in raising academic and administrative standards, identifying gaps and areas for improvement, and determining innovative approaches to address them. The benchmarking was part of LPU’s Total Quality Instruction Development Program (TQIDP) to improve their academic and administrative procedures .
The session featured several insightful presentations from SISC officials and faculty members led by Dr. Genevieve Ledesma-Laurel, Chief Executive Mentor; Dr. Jocelyn Tizon, President; Dr. Avic Suarez, Principal; Dr. Ardee Donato, Academic Director; Dr. Astrid de Leon, College Director; Mr. Daniel Steel, Southville International School Affiliated with Foreign Universities (SISFU) Program Head; Mr. Jonathan Borja, SISFU Academic Head; and De Montfort University professors, Drs. Ed Thompson and Kevin Roe.
The key topics covered included SISC’s educational philosophy and core foundations, organizational culture for meeting national and international benchmarks, curriculum and instruction which empowers teachers through certifications, educational technology and financial literacy programs, transnational education with SISFU’s UK and Australian degree programs, and assessment measures for data-driven student success tracking.
Interactive and open discussions followed the presentations to put into context and understand the environment within which the best practices take place. SISC will continuously collaborate, connect, and learn from other academic institutions as schools navigate new challenges and adapt to life under the new educational landscape.
