The College of Nursing held a seminar entitled Nursing Competencies: Bridging the Gap Towards Quality Patient Care and Safety last February 1, 2011. It was the 4th seminar held under the Nursing Development series spearheaded by Dean Carmel Villegas.

Dr. Rebecca Deleon Graboso, an accomplished Filipino nurse-practitioner working as head of the stroke unit in Riverview Medical Center, New Jersey, USA was invited to do the lecture. Her talk revolved on the concept of Evidence Based Practice (EBP) and stroke management.

The success of the seminar was evident from the positive responses by the students for keeping them up-to-date on the latest knowledge and information in their field.
