Pass rate of med tech grads tops national average

Ninety-three percent of South SEED-LPDH’s (SSLC) first medical technology graduating class passed the September 2015 licensure examination. SSLC is a partnership between Southville International School and Colleges and Las Piñas Doctors Hospital that offers allied medical courses.

The SSLC passing rate exceeds the national passing rate of 84 percent putting it in first place in southern Metro Manila. SSLC has taken extra measures to ensure its students are well-prepared for quality medical technology work as well as the board exam by conducting its own review classes during their 4th year in college and after graduation considering the objectives of the medical technology curriculum, and other related disciplines and competencies.

“The performance on this exam by members of our first graduating class is positive for our program and sets a high bar for our graduates going forward,” said Ms. Suzette Encarnacion, Dean of the College of Medical Technology, which opened in 2010 beside SISC’s Luxembourg Campus. ““Our first class of graduates exceeded what we’d hoped they would be able to achieve.”
