Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) Grade School Division joined the nation in its commemoration of Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa last August 19, 2011 for Grades 3-4, and August 22, 2011 for Grades 5-7.

With the theme “Ang Filipino ay Wikang Panlahat, Ilaw at Lakas sa Tuwid na Landas”, a lineup of activities was firmed up in recognition of Filipino as a common language that unites the nation.

Grades 3-7 were exposed in their Filipino classes to various meaningful level activities such as Bugtungan Quiz Bee, Poster Making, and the OPM (Original Pilipino Music) Pinoy Idol which promoted appreciation of the Filipino language.

The celebration culminated in the Pistang Pinoy where students enjoyed sumptuous Filipino food and delicacies while playing native games such as Agawang Panyo, Sepak Takraw and Magtanim ay di Biro relays and Pampilipit Dila.
