Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) was one of the proud recipients during the Investors in People (IiP) Awarding Ceremony held last November 27, 2015 at St. Luke’s Medical Center, Taguig. What made it more rewarding is that SISC is the first organization in Asia to go straight to GOLD and the only school among 8 different industries to receive the award.
IiP or Investors in People has set the standard for better people management since 2001. The Standard defines what it takes to lead, support and manage people well for sustainable results. (Source: https://www.investorsinpeople.com/what-investors-people)
The event was not merely presentation of awards to various organizations but also an avenue of learning as different types of industries shared their best practices on stage. Dr. Marl V. Ferenal, President of SISC, shared the story of Southville of how SISC started and Dr. Genevieve Ledesma- Tan, Chief Executive Mentor of SISC, discussed the best practices of Southville International School and Colleges. She talked about the word “shared” and how this word affected the performance of the entire community of Southville, from the management group down to the faculty and staff. “Truly, we can make a difference if we share the same vision, mission and values as a community—and this has been the very reason why we received the IiP Gold Award. We all had a vital role in this journey to IiP and so we all have a part in this success,” said Tan.
