Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) partnered with Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC), one of Korea’s biggest broadcasting networks to conduct an English Camp for Korean students to develop the communicative skills, their cultural awareness, and ability to work with others in a cooperative learning environment.
Participants in the English Camp were grouped into small classes and were given lessons appropriate to their English level. Lessons were designed based on the assessment made to ensure that learning English will be a fun-filled experience for them.
Apart from English Camps, Southville has integrated English as a Second Language (ESL) Program in its curriculum to support new students who are not yet fluent in the English language. The students attend a focus group class for major subjects and are mainstreamed for minor subjects.
